Description

VentSim Design includes all the features of VentSim Visual™ Advanced as well as VentFire™ for fire simulation, Ventlog ventilation check software and LiveView™ for remote data connection and display modules. VentSim™ was originally introduced to Mining in 1994 to aid in the visual design, improvement and optimization of underground ventilation systems.

The programme was previously run by Chasm Consulting, which was taken over by the Howden Group following the acquisition.

Features and characteristics of VentSim Design Premium software:

Dynamic planning of heat and gas events: Heat, air or gas transformations can be introduced at dynamic pre-planning intervals.
Radon simulation: predicting worker exposure levels based on radon emissions from different areas over time. Depending on your ventilation design the gas may remain in the mine area.
Ventlog™: Software package for recording data reviews, drawing outputs and overlaying on VentSim models
LiveView™ module: to connect to output data and to display and simulate data
VentFire™ Module: Using dynamic simulation to predict a fire’s heat, gases, and flow direction
Flow charts and costs through various sizes and types of airways
Upstream routes and contaminated (or fresh) airflow concentrations
distribution of smoke or other pollutants through a network
Use of thermodynamics to simulate the effects of natural ventilation
Forecasting heat and humidity generated by diesel equipment
