Coursera – Specialization in Self-Driving Cars 2022-5 – Download

Description

Specializing in self-driving cars is a training course in automotive technology. According to research and forecasts, by 2025 the automobile industry will be worth about 4.42 million and there will be about 20 million cars on the road. This makes the expertise to produce these types of cars in the future very noticeable. This course will give you a comprehensive understanding of the latest engineering methods in the automotive industry. During this training, a lot of real-world data will be collected from an automotive vehicle, worked with numerous project applications, and CARLA will be familiarized with the use of the open source simulator.

In this course you will learn how to train using a very realistic driving environment capable of modeling pavements and environmental conditions in three dimensions. After completing this training, you will be able to create the necessary software for your car and apply for job opportunities in this industry. The course topics include the use of different sensors, the detection of a wide range of objects, localization, rerouting and Carla simulator facilities. It is recommended that you have knowledge of linear algebra, probability, statistics, physics, accounting, control theory, and Python programming to begin this course.

What you will learn in the self-driving car specialization:

  • Understanding architectural details and various parts of automotive software
  • Implement methods for fixed and dynamic object detection, mapping, vehicle control, and…
  • Use car sensors like camera, GPS, odometer
  • Ability to work with CARLA and make plans using Python
  • And…

Requirements for specializing in self-driving cars

It is recommended that you have knowledge of linear algebra, probability, statistics, calculus, physics, control theory and Python programming. The most important are knowledge of linear algebra, analysis, probability theory and kinematic and dynamic modeling. Some exposure to computer vision, AI or robotics is also useful. You need these specifications to run the CARLA simulator effectively: Windows 7 64-bit (or higher) or Ubuntu 16.04 (or higher), quad-core Intel or AMD processor (2.5 GHz or faster), NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher, 8GB RAM and OpenGL 3 or higher (for Linux computers).
