WaterGEMS is an advanced version of Bentley’s WaterCAD software, a comprehensive tool to assist in the planning and analysis of water distribution networks. This software improves your knowledge of how water distribution infrastructure behaves as a system, how that infrastructure interacts with operational strategies, and how the distribution network grows as the population grows and its needs grow. This program gives you everything you need to simulate water distribution networks, analyze critical situations and energy costs in one flexible package.

WaterGEMS offers a range of tools to increase reliability, efficiency and system tolerance. This program identifies potential system problems and it is difficult to realistically model complex water systems using WaterGEMS. WaterGEMS can enable accurate modeling of water pumps, pump optimization strategies and planning of routine operations such as their shutdown to minimize outages.

Even if you need to replace the current water infrastructure with new ones, many new infrastructures will certainly have old-fashioned sharing, so it would be very tedious to duplicate WaterGEMS here with tools like redrawing pipes etc., eliminating many repetitive tasks.
